On request, we can manufacture glass fiber tubes with thicknesses from a few thenths to some mm.
Compared to carbon ones glass fiber tubes are more flexible, thanks to the greatest fibers’ stretching values. They are able to bear major bendings and roundnesses compared to carbon fiber, and obviously have a lower price.
Glass fiber tubes are also non-conductors and show a pretty good dielectric strength and low thermal expansion. The available standard finishes are Rough or Smooth, and even Painted on request.
Depending on the requested structure or diameter, glass fiber tubes can be realized in highly unbalanced warp/weft sheets (to enhance for example longitudinal stiffness) or in very balanced ones where there is the same amount of fibers in all directions. These fiber tubes are often used in tools that require non-conducting poles, or in antennas. On request, depending on the available molds, we can also realize conical fiber glass tubes.
